Living with his mother in servitude to Watto, young Anakin is renowned in Mos Espa for his uncanny Podracing skills. Yet when Amidala’s Royal Starship makes an unscheduled stop on Tatoonie and Anakin encounters her entourage, Qui-Gon foresees a far greater destiny for the boy.

A disheveled nine-year-old with blue eyes, Anakin Skywalker is an earnest and hardworking boy who lives in a desert city on Tatooine. A natural mechanic, he has a keen intuition with equipment and machinery. He can sense what makes an engine work. Living in a very humble home, Anakin dreams of becoming a starpilot and longs for a world of adventure. Good at heart, hopeful and optimistic, this young boy little suspects the destiny and fearful challenges that await him.

This Bio came from the back packaging of the episode 1 action figures. Along with the bios are Commtech chip lines that the figures say to one another. Only time will tell if the bios and the lines are real. These were posted on SirSteve's Star War Guide.

"Only nine years old, Anakin Skywalker began life as a slave on Tatooine. After winning his freedom he will be trained to become a Jedi."
Commtech: "Wizards!" ; "I'm a person and my name is Anakin." ; and "I know we're in trouble, just hang on!"

About Jake Lloyd

Jake Lloyd probably has the biggest part, and the most important part in this film. He plays the key character in the new Star Wars Prequel Trilogy. Of course he will only be in this film, and will not appear in Episode 2 and 3. But in this film we will get to see the Dark side seduce young Anakin. We will not see him don the black outfit that Darth Vader is famous for but we should at least see early glimps as to what led him to become Darth Vader.

Rumors on the web also state that Jake Lloyd's performance in the film are not as well some might hope. Some say he is annoying in the film. But Ron Howard and George Lucas deny these rumors and say that Lloyd does an amazing performance. After seeing the film, I would rank his performance next to Mark Hamill in A New Hope.

It is most likely we will not see Lloyd in Episode 2 or 3. Since Anakin should be the age of 18 to 20 years old. We will be seeing a new actor stepping up to take on the role of Anakin.
