This gave him immediate notice by the Imperial Navy. He became a success surpassing others in fields of education and Piloting. Solo became an officer at first where he succeeds in almost all missions assigned to him. He moves up in the ranks to Commander where he wishes to fulfill all that he can do for the Empire.      Solo was then sent to assist in a Imperial Slave Camp, where he witnesses brutal beating of a Wookie. Han Solo stops the beating, and decides he cannot see this Dark Side of the Empire; so he takes the Wookie and went AWOL (absent without leave) from the Empire. Chewbacca pledges Han a Wookie Pledge of Life, but as usual Han does not understand what it all means. Han tries to live a normal life by being a pirate. So he tries to just smuggle a cargo when low an behold Chewbacca is right behind him. This continues for a period of time, until Han gives in and accepts the Wookie. This is the start of a beautiful friendship.      Han and Chewbacca start out smuggle for vile gangster Jabba the Hut for a long period of time. Until one time when the dynamic duo confront an Imperial inspection of their Corrilian Cruiser, the Millennium Falcon, which Solo won from Lando Calrissian. Han feared of them finding out he was a former officer and the cargo of spices, so he dumps the cargo and jumps into hyperspace. This is creates an unhappy relationship between Jabba and Han. Jabba wants Han to pay for the spices, but he keeps saying he doesn't have the money, and this leads to the bounty hunters going after him.      During Han's time with the Rebel Alliance, he shoots out the two TIE Fighters, tring to kill Luke when he attempts to blow up the Death Star. When Luke was left out in the cold on Hoth, Han Solo went out to look for him, and saved his life. All this time he fell in love with Princess Leia. Later on, after Return of the Jedi, Han & Leia get married and have three children together. Their names are Jacen, Jaina, and Anakin Solo.
